The house is located in a serene clearing and the lively warbles can be heard all around the property. Did you know that the Slovenian finch makes a different sound than its English relative?

Binoculars and a bird guide stored in the house are at your disposal. Titmice nest in a nesting cavity of a hornbeam and the steep rocky walls of the Iški Vintgar gorge are the home of the peregrine falcon. With a bit of patience and a sharp eye, several other birds can be spotted as well.

Highly recommended is also an early trip to the Ljubljana Marsh Nature Park or a walk upstream, into the secluded woods.
